A portfolio that wins clients
Project Overview
Client: CreativeAce, a digital marketing agency specializing in branding, social media, and content marketing.
Challenge: Their old website was outdated and didn't reflect their creative capabilities. They needed a portfolio site that would impress potential clients, showcase case studies, and generate leads.
Solution: We designed a clean, minimalist website with a focus on typography and whitespace. The site features a case studies section with detailed project breakdowns, a services page, and a simple contact form. We built it with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and integrated Netlify CMS for easy content updates.
Detailed Case Studies
Each case study includes the challenge, strategy, execution, and results. We added before/after metrics, client testimonials, and high‑quality images. The layout is designed to tell a compelling story.
Blog & Insights
The agency wanted to share their expertise. We built a blog section with categories, author bios, and social sharing. It's powered by Netlify CMS, so the team can write posts in a familiar interface.
Smart Contact Form
The contact form asks project type, budget, and timeline. Submissions go to the sales team and are also stored in a simple CRM (Airtable integration). We added reCAPTCHA to prevent spam.
Our Creative Process
Mood Boards & Inspiration
We created multiple mood boards to capture the agency's desired aesthetic – minimal, professional, with subtle creative touches. The client chose a clean, monochrome palette with accent colors.
Design Iterations
We presented three design directions. After feedback, we refined the chosen design, focusing on typography (Inter font) and spacing. We also designed custom icons for services.
Frontend Development
We coded the site with semantic HTML5, modern CSS (Flexbox/Grid), and vanilla JavaScript for interactions like smooth scroll and mobile menu. The site is fully responsive.
Netlify CMS Integration
We set up Netlify CMS so the agency could update case studies and blog posts without touching code. The CMS is configured with custom fields for case studies (client name, results, etc.).
Launch & Performance Tuning
Deployed on Netlify with continuous deployment from GitHub. We optimized images, added meta tags, and submitted sitemap to Google. Within two months, the site helped win three new clients.
